Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the QuoteFor mobile app ("QuoteFor", "we", "us"), operated by Hyunwook (George) Jung. By using QuoteFor, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The service

QuoteFor lets you draw quote cards, describe a situation to receive a quote with a short reading, and keep the cards you reveal in a collection. QuoteFor is currently free. We may change, add, or remove features over time.

Your account

We create an anonymous account for you when you first open the app. You can link a Google or Apple account to keep your collection. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account.

For reflection, not advice

Quotes and readings in QuoteFor are for inspiration and reflection. Readings for situation draws are written by an AI system and may be inaccurate or not fit your circumstances. They are not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact local emergency services. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Quotes and attribution

Quotes belong to their original authors and sources. We try to attribute them correctly, but attributions and translations may sometimes be inaccurate. If you notice a mistake, let us know.

What you write

You keep ownership of the text you write in the app. You give us permission to store and process it, including sending it to our AI provider, so we can provide the service to you. Please don't submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't include other people's personal information.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

interfere with or disrupt the app or our servers, or try to access them in unauthorized ways;
use automated means to access the service or collect its content;
reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Our content

The app's design, card artwork, and software belong to us. You may share cards from the app for personal, non-commercial use.

Ending your use

You can stop using QuoteFor and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms or misuses the service.

Disclaimers

QuoteFor is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of QuoteFor. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date above. If you keep using QuoteFor after the change, you accept the updated terms.
